Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril in Jamaica and Rick's Cafe

Jamaica has three distinct areas to explore and last month we discovered so much more to see and do even after having been to Jamaica nine times before. If you get a chance to see Negril, Jamaica be sure you go to Ricks Cafe for a drink to watch the sunset and cliff divers. It is an awesome sight and one that you shouldn't miss. If you go by catamaran, you will be able to see the caves and Rock House as well as the castles that I didn't even know existed in Jamaica. Some of these are Negril resorts but from the water it is an incredible sight. We snorkeled in the caves from a catamaran excursion and it was truly amazing. Getting off the catamaran at Ricks Cafe gives you a view of the entire area that is not available to see except from the water. Ricks had a great raggae band and the sunset was gorgeous. Watching the cliff divers or jumping or diving from the smaller cliffs is also an option. There is a little pool and all in all Ricks is just a fun and beautiful, amazing place to see. I won't miss it any time I go back to Jamaica.
Couples Swept Away and Couples Negril is where the catamaran left from. Both properties have very nice beaches and we found the food to be excellent. Some of the rooms at Couples Swept Away were somewhat worn and needed to be redone so if you decide to go to a Couples resort be sure you call so I can explain which rooms to stay in and which ones to be sure not to. They each have two pools but Couples Swept Away's are small but active and fun with a swim up pool bar.

Spending 11 days in Jamaica in May is like Heaven. The weather was wonderful and the resorts were beautiful. We stayed at Beaches Negril for 5 nights, Sandals
Royal Caribbean for 3 nights and Sandals Whitehouse for 3 nights. We toured Sandals Negril and had an amazing dinner there. The food was excellent at all of the resorts we stayed at, however, I would have to say that Sandals Whitehouse had some of the most amazing food I have ever had. Lobster, Steak, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Tepinyaki, burgers, or pizza are just a few of the foods we enjoyed at the Sandals and Beaches resorts. The Whitehouse had unbeleivable seafood and a Parisian ice cream and dessert shop that was to die for. The food was amazing! Our first stop was Beaches Negril where we met our family making our total group there 10 people. Our rooms were gorgeous suites with stocked bars and mini refrigerators that were stocked with snacks, juices, pop, beer, champagne and wine. The in-room bar was filled with every type of alcohol and mix you can imagine. We could call room service for meals as well as snacks or anything we wanted.
The beach at Beaches Negril is amazing!!! It's huge and gorgeous with lots of beach chaise lounge chairs and plenty of room to yourself. The beach is a long walking beach for great walks on the beach. I walked most mornings and it was so quiet and peaceful and just beautiful. The pools at Beaches Negril are really nice also. During the day there were activities and the main pool has a swim-up-pool bar. Again lots of chairs and a great beach grill if you would like to just eat at the beach or by the pool.
Even though we loved Beaches Negril we moved on the tour Beaches Sandy Bay which is a great little property. Most of this resort has been redone and it's all very quaint and nice. The entry level rooms here are small but very nice. The food was great--we had lunch at the grill and the jerk chicken was fabulous. The beach is long and really nice.

You know when you have stayed a total of 77 nights at a Sandals resort in Jamaica that you love Jamaica and the Sandals resorts. We just completed 77nights with the Sandals resorts and are looking forward to 77 more. We have stayed at Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Ocho Rios, Sandals Whitehouse and Sandals Negril. It's hard to say which is my favorite as it always seems like its's the one I just returned from but if I had to choose then it would be Sandals Ocho Rios. I love both sides of the property with the gardens and forest area, the great pools, the restaraunts, the shows, and the amazing staff. We will be going back to Sandals Negril next August and I'm sure then I'll say Negril is my favorite--you sure can't beat its beach. Lori and Kem at Enchanted Honeymoons Travel has booked all of our trips for us and they are always so helpful--give them a call if you are thinking about an all inclusive or a Sandals.
Sandals Emerald Bay in the Bahamas

Sandals Emerald Bay may be one of the prettiest resorts in the Caribbean! Our room was a beachfront suite that walked directly out to the beach where our butler brought us omelets, pastries, fresh fruits, juices and coffee every morning. We really loved this resort for so many reasons--the food was amazing, the beach was one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen, the staff was wonderful, and we really had the time of our lives.
If you are looking for an amazing honeymoon or special getaway or want an incredible place for a destination wedding, consider the Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma, Bahamas.

We spent our honeymoon at the Sandals Negril in Negril, Jamaica. It was the best honeymoon anyone ever could have dreamed of. In the planning stages, we worked with Kem who was attentive to our every need and wanted to make sure that our honeymoon was exactly what we wanted it to be. We had called other travel agencies and it seemed like they wanted us to know where we wanted to go and then just give them money, whereas Kem totally listened to what we were looking for for our honeymoon and made sure it was exactly as we hoped it would be. We loved Negril and want to go back as soon as possible. Thank you to Enchanted Honeymoons and their entire staff for making our honeymoon perfect.

Sandals Whitehouse

Enchanted Honeymoons did our destination wedding at Sandals Whitehouse and we were so thrilled. Let me tell you about the resort and the wedding itself. It was so much more than I could have even imagined. The beach is incredible and has the feel of Tahiti or Fiji--it is a long sweeping beach with the bluest water I have ever seen. All the rooms are beachfront which was nice since each of my guests was on different budgets and yet they were all able to get a beachfront room. The restaraunts were amazing and I am pretty sure we ate at each of them. My favorite one was the italian as I am a huge Italian food fan but this was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. I also enjoyed sitting on the beach at the Mexican restaraunt and watching the sunset. The buffet was amazing!
Our room was gorgeous with the most beautiful view of the Caribbean and the beach. The deck was large and there was easily enough room for us to sit out in the morning and have coffee and at night we watched the sun set from the deck several times--very romantic. I loved all the dark wood in the rooms and the decor is all nuetral and gorgeous. The nightly entertainment was really great and we especially enjoyed the theme nights. We also enjoyed the martini bar and the french coffee and dessert restaraunt . All in all I have never seen or been to a more perfect resort.
The wedding was amazing. We chose to be married right on the beach and because the beach is so big, we were able to find a place all by ourselves which made it so special. Even though we had 22 guests with us, it still felt like it was just the two of us during the ceremony. After the ceremony, Sandals did a cake cutting and champagne toast with us and all our guests and then we went to dinner where they accomodated all of us together. The wedding coordinator was wonderful at Sandals Whitehouse and catered to our every need. The flowers were beautiful tropical flowers that looked so pretty against the Caribbean water. The photos of the wedding are better than any I could have even imagined. The photographer shot the whole wedding as well as pictures on the beach and sunset after the wedding. I just really could not have asked for a more perfect wedding and I would highly recommend you work with Enchanted Honeymoons to help you plan the wedding you dream of.
